Senior IMPs

IMPs members

Senior IMPs is for young people aged 11+ who love making music. IMPs members include young people with a range of disabilities, siblings and friends of disabled members and young people who simply love making music with friends.

Music making is a fun way to build confidence and develop skills. The IMPs Apprentice Programme gives young people the chance to train to become workshop leaders. And the IMPs Committee makes sure that young peope have a say in how the project runs.

Some young people come to IMPs independently and others come with a carer or support worker. Please feel free to contact us to discuss your individual support needs.

At Senior IMPs you can:

• Learn to sing and sign

• Learn to play instruments and use music technology

• Write your own songs and music

• Take part in public performances

• Train to be a workshop leader as one of our IMPs Apprentices

• Work towards your Duke of Edinburgh Award or Arts Award

When: Mondays during term time, from 6:00pm – 7:30pm

Where: Burton Stone Community Centre, Evelyn Crescent, York YO30 6DR
