The SoundWeavers were a small group of adults with learning difficulties and disabilities who wrote and recorded their own music using a range of mainstream and accessible/assistive music technology. Currently Soundweavers is on hold whilst we secure more funding.
Each term the group members chose a theme to work on – these included reggae songs, soundscapes of York and a unique and interactive performance at the Treasurer’s House in York based on some of York’s most famous ghost stories.
This was the Sound Weavers most inspirational and polished performance yet. There was a superb blend of subtlety and excitement within the piece and it was wonderful to see the audience completely captivated throughout – you could have heard a pin drop. Rose Kent, Managing Director
