Our new IMPs (Inclusive Music Project) Holiday Clubs start this February half term and we're inviting young people in York to try our first taster sessions for FREE!
We're offering two different sessions, one for Primary aged children and one for young people aged 11+. Each workshop will provide a fun introduction to music-making, and singing and signing.
Our Junior IMPs Club is for children aged 5-10 who love singing and having fun.
In this workshop, children will have the chance to learn to sing and sign fun songs, try out a variety of musical instruments and perform for family and friends at the end of the session.
When: Thursday 23rd February from 9:30am - 12pm
Where: Burton Green Primary School, Burton Green, Clifton, York YO30 6JE.
Our Senior IMPs Club is for young people aged 11+ who love music.
In this fun workshop, young people will get the chance to learn to sing and sign songs or work with musical instruments and music technology to create music to accompany the singing. They'll also get the chance to perform for family and friends at the end of the session.
When: Wednesday 22nd February from 9:30am - 12:30pm
Where: Applefields School, Bad Bargain Lane, York, YO31 0LW.
You can download a flyer for our Senior workshop here.
You don’t need any previous musical experience to take part in either of the workshops and our sessions are fully inclusive – our experienced workshop leaders support everyone to get involved and express themselves in the way that works best for them.
