Sensory Music

Sensory music sessions feature a varied programme of musical activities, including sensory songs, creating musical stories, playing instruments, listening, tactile and other sensory activities. Bespoke songs and music are written using the actions and names of the participants to aid communication, interaction and enjoyment of the music through the difference senses. This builds up a relationship of trust so that participants can work alongside their Support Worker to develop in confidence individually and as a group.

'T' looks forward to the sessions – artists give her full independence and a range of choices. She has learnt that she can speak up and have a voice within this group as a valued member.’ Support Worker. Support Worker

Each week participants explore a different theme and construct music inspired by images and ideas based on the theme.
