Bounceback Book
You may remember us getting all excited about our collaboration with Bounceback CIC for their cookbook 'Secret Dishes From Around the World 3'.
Accessible Arts and Media joined 19 other arts charities and social enterprises from across the UK. Each organisation was given a chance to showcase local talent, with original artwork appearing alongside the recipes in the book.
Our chosen country was Libya, we worked with Adam Higton, a talented York-based artist. Adam led a series of online workshops with participants from across our programmes.The workshops explored ideas surrounding the music, food, colours and people of Libya. Adam then transformed our participants’ amazing collages and ideas into the artwork that features in the Bounceback book. This was an incredible feat over lockdown and we couldn't be more pleased or in love with the result.
If you’re not familiar with Bounceback, they're a non-profit Community Cookery School whose aim is to fight food poverty across the UK. We think the work they do is fantastic. Go on, give them a follow and see what they get up to.
We were lucky enough to get hold of some copies of the book to sell With these limited copies, we’d love to raise some funds whilst sharing the love this Christmas.
They’d make a great present for any food lover, with easy-to-make recipes from 20 different countries. And of course, some gorgeous artwork!
