Cancellation of Sessions (COVID-19)
Following the updated coronavirus guidance yesterday we wanted to let you know that we’ve taken the decision to cancel all our activities for the time being.
Given the current need for everyone to reduce their social contact and the fact that many members of our community will need to self-isolate, we believe this is the right thing for us to do.
We’re in the process of contacting all our participants, support workers, volunteers and partners to let them know this.
We hope that we’ll be able to restart our activities again very soon, but obviously it’s difficult for us to say when that will be. As soon as we have any updates on this, we’ll let you know.
In the meantime, we’ll be working with our staff and other organisations to see if we can find ways to provide our communities with access to support and activities online. We know for many people the social contacts they will lose will have a big impact on their lives. We want to reassure you that we’re exploring all the ways we can to try to help reduce this.
While our office is closed, you can stay in contact with us through our social media channels (links below). If you need to contact a member of the team directly, you can email us at email@example.com, or leave a message on our answer machine. We can pick both of these up remotely and ask the right member of the team to get back to you.
In difficult times, it’s important for us all to work together to support each other and our communities. However big or small that support may seem, it’s vital.
There are many brilliant people in York and beyond mobilising support groups on Facebook and organising people to provide help to those who need it. If you’re able to help with schemes like these, please do get in touch with your local group. You can find more information on groups in your area here.
Together we can all do our bit to look out for each other, even if that’s just making sure we send our friends and family a text, drop them an email, FaceTime them, or give call them a call – all of it helps!
