Smiles all around at Asda thanks to our talented buskers

It was huge smiles all around on Saturday 16th February and we’ve got the snaps to prove it!

Members from Hands & Voices, Movers & Shakers and our IMPs (Inclusive Music Projects) did us proud at Asda Monks Cross, raising the roof and some serious funds. The gang sang a selection of their favourite singing and signing hits, including ‘Let’s Go Fly a Kite’ and ‘500 Miles’ by The Proclaimers. It was a hoot!

We love seeing people stop by and smile as they watch our talented bunch – we even had shoppers join in! But don’t take our word for it – check out our buskers in action.

At the end of a fabulous two hours of singing and signing, the choirs had raised an incredible £391! The money will go to support the projects they take part in, ensuring they can continue to make music and hang out together.

Our volunteers were brill, too! They got a front-row seat for the performance while helping us out with our bucket collection and had the best time. We really couldn’t have done it without them.

Interested in volunteering at the next event? We’d love to hear from you! Email Lauren at hello@aamedia.org.uk or fill in this handy form.

A huge thanks goes to Asda Community Champion Cyndi Walton and her team for making us feel so welcome and for helping with to buckets, too! You rock!

And finally, a massive thank you to everyone who came along, stopped to chat and popped some money in our buckets. With your support, we can keep the music going and help our members develop the skills and confidence to have more of a say in what matters to them. And we think that's pretty AAM-azing!

There's still time to show your support by donating today. Thank you.
