We're on the move!
As you may be aware, Accessible Arts & Media is relocating.
We’re moving to the new Clifton Explore Centre this week!
Our offices will be based at Clifton Explore and we’re going to have our own activity spaces. That means some of our projects will be delivered there too:
- From Monday 16th September, Senior IMPs will be delivered at Clifton Explore
- From Wednesday 18th September, Movers & Shakers will be delivered at Clifton Explore
- Hands & Voices will stay at Marjorie Waite Court, starting back on Thursday 19th September
We’re going to have our own sensory room too! We’ll be fundraising over the Autumn to get the room fully kitted out, with the aim of relaunching our iMUSE programme in January 2025.
We’re moving to Clifton Explore on Wednesday 28th August and we’ll spend the rest of the week unpacking.
Our new address and office hours
From Monday 2nd September, our office hours at Explore will be Monday to Thursday 9am – 5:30pm.
Outside of those hours, you can get in touch by emailing info@aamedia.org.uk or by calling 01904 626965 and leaving us a message.
Our new address will be: Clifton Explore, Rawcliffe Drive, York, YO30 6NS
If you have any questions about the move, please contact the office on 01904 626965.
We've made a short video showing you how to find our offices and activity space in the new building. You can watch it on YouTube.
About Clifton Explore
Run by Explore York, the city’s libraries and archives service, Clifton Explore Centre is a new community hub for the Clifton area. As well as the library, there will be a café, a workspace with wifi, meeting and activity rooms for community use and a garden. The new building is fully accessible, with a Changing Places toilet.
Accessible Arts & Media is one of three community partners who’ll be based at Clifton Explore. The other partners are:
- York Learning, the city’s adult education service; and
- City of York Council’s Medical Needs Teaching Service for children and young people who are unable to access mainstream education.
The Centre will open fully to the public on Monday 23rd September. You can find more information on the new Centre on the Explore York website.
