Participants shine at AAM’s Big Spring Showcase
On Saturday 16th March, participants from Hands & Voices, IMPs and Movers & Shakers took to the stage for another AAM-azing performance. They were there to showcase what they’ve been up to in their projects this term in front of a packed audience full of friends and family.
Like any other Accessible Arts & Media performance, there was lots to see.
The energy from the stage spilt over into the crowd. There was singing and signing, dancing and loads of huge smiles - and that was just the audience!
Our participants were amazing, as always. We could go on and on, so here are a few of our highlights:
• Welcoming first-time performer and IMPs superstar Miles to the stage. He and the rest of the gang shared some brilliant solos and finished with a fab rendition of Miley Cyrus’ ‘Flowers’.
• Movers & Shakers leading the audience in a brilliant hat dance followed by some AAM-azing soundscapes.
• Hands & Voices shaking it up with some fun theatrics that kept the audience guessing what song was next. There were umbrellas, sunglasses and loads of fun actions from the gang.
And the finale – wow, what a send off! All our projects took to the stage to perform a roof-raising rendition of ‘This is me’ from The Greatest Showman. Safe to say, they absolutely smashed it!
And that’s not all! Our fab volunteers were on brilliant form, helping with bucket collections and holding the fort on our merchandise stall. We couldn’t have done it without them. Thanks again to our brilliant performers, our wonderful guests and our fab supporters as well as the team at Tang Hall Explore for keeping us refreshed with tea and cake!
