Dragon Boat Challenge 2021 is on!! Can you help us smash our fundraising target?

We're chuffed to bits to have a team in this year's York Rotary Dragon Boat Challenge!

Our hardy team of river gnomes - The 'Row'ling Gnomes - will be taking to the River Ouse on Sunday 12th September, competing against York's finest and raising money for three local charities.

One third of the money we raise will be divided between The Hut and SASH (two fabulous York charities, supporting learning-disabled adults and young people at risk of becoming homeless, respectively). The rest of the money we raise will provide vital funds for Accessible Arts & Media and help us re-launch our face-to-face sessions safely this Autumn.

Like a lot of small charities, our fundraising has been affected by the pandemic. We haven't been able to go busking or organise gigs or bucket collections and most challenge events have been cancelled. And it's had a real impact on our income.

This is our first major fundraising event in over 15 months and we'd love to smash our target, so we can get back to delivering face-to-face sessions safely.

After 18 months of only seeing each other online, your support will mean our project participants can get together with their friends again. And we all know how good it feels to spend time with the people who make you happy. We can't wait to see the smiles on everyone's faces!

You can sponsor Team AAM on our Virgin Money Giving page and help us bring people back together again. And please share the link with friends, family and colleagues and help us hit our target.

Thank you so much for your support! We think you're AAM-azing!
