Local services come together for Dementia Together 2023

On Monday 25th SeptemberCity of York Council marked the first year of its Dementia Strategy with Dementia Together 2023 at New Earswick Folk Hall. Local services such as York Mind, Age UK and others came together to host stalls, talks and demonstrations for people living with dementia.

We were asked to come along and show people what our multi-sensory therapeutic iMUSE experience can do for people living with dementia. So we did just that!

Throughout the day, we offered 20-minute free tasters so people could get a real understanding of the huge benefits of iMUSE. And in between, we had lots of lovely conversations with social prescribers, families and people living with dementia.

iMUSE has proven to be very beneficial for a wide range of people, including those living with dementia. It can help reduce anxiety and enable people to connect with the world around them through music, visuals and soothing vibrations.

Each typical one-to-one iMUSE session lasts 30-minutes, during which our trained facilitators work with you to find out which songs, sounds and visuals you like. These are then used to personalise your iMUSE experience.
