Our sensory sessions run from Monday to Friday for 50 weeks of the year, providing fun, creative learning activities for adults with complex needs. You can find out more about the different sessions below.
Some people come to sessions independently and others come along with a carer or support worker. Similarly, some people are referred to the programme by City of York Council and other partners, others access it independently. Please contact us to find out more about the sessions and to discuss your individual support needs.

Exploring different creative themes through a wide range of art, sensory and food-related activities.
Using fun, creative play to explore and develop interactions and communication between participants and their support worker.
A baking and craft session exploring different creative themes through food and art.
Movers and Shakers
A fun filled and action-packed music group for learning-disabled adults.
A fun and engaging music session for young people in transition from Children to Adult Services and young adults with a range of learning difficulties, disabilities, and more complex needs.
A weekly art session for learning-disabled adults. The group ranges from individuals with moderate learning difficulties to individuals with higher support needs.
A weekly session using drama, story-telling and imagination to explore fun creative themes.
Sessions offer playful group activities and person-centred learning experiences through movement and sensation.
A varied programme of musical activities, including sensory songs, musical stories, instruments and other sensory activities.
