AAM Trainees show us how it’s done

Trainees from Hands & Voices and IMPs have been out in the community as part of our outreach workshops, and it’s been fab

Experts in their fields, our trainees go everywhere from universities to schools to local businesses, where they co-lead workshops alongside AAM staff. It’s only February, and Sam from Hands & Voices and Finn from IMPs have been smashing it.

Hands & Voices trainee Sam practices with friends for her outreach workshop

Sam joined Anna on a January trip to teach Community Music students at the University of York. She’d put her skills to the test by leading friends at the previous Hands & Voices session and was raring to go. Sam taught the class how to sign their name as well as some fun singing and signing songs. AAM-azing work, Sam!

It was Finn's turn to lead in February. He and Hannah popped in to see our friends at Tang Hall SMART to teach not one, but two sessions. Finn was ace as always and taught both groups of students how to sign their names, a fun warm-up and 3 new singing and signing songs. Phew!

We're so proud of our Trainees, and we're excited to see what they get up to next.
