Did you know you can help AAM without spending a penny?
That’s right, there are plenty of ways in which you can support our cause - for free! As a small charity, no donation or contribution is too small.
You could be supporting the vital work we do by simply doing your online shop. There are a few ways you can do this, and in doing so you can make a massive difference to the lives of the people we support.
Donate while you shop
If you’re thinking of using Amazon for your Christmas shop, consider signing up for AmazonSmile. It works by donating 0.5% of every purchase made on Amazon to a charity of your choice. Signing up is free. All you need to do is select the charity of your choice to receive the donations and shop away. If you already have an Amazon account and regularly use it, it’s a no-brainer!
You’ll also find us on EasyFundraising and Give as You Live. These platforms allow you to donate to charity in return for using their links whilst you shop. Both are completely free to use and have thousands of retailers at your fingertips. We've put together a handy guide to help you get set up, which you can find here.
You can even help when selling things on eBay. So, if you’re having a clear-out, consider donating part of the sale price to AAM. eBay for Charity allows you to choose the percentage of the sale price you’d like to go to your chosen charity, so you’re in control. All you need to do is select Accessible Arts & Media as your cause and you’re away. For more information, head here.
Speaking of having a clear-out, every now and then we’ll ask for unwanted instruments, sensory materials, and tombola prizes. You can help us by answering the call with anything you think might be useful to our cause. Volunteer
Volunteering can be incredibly rewarding, and volunteers really are the unsung heroes of the charity sector. There’re lots of ways in which you can help here at AAM. This can be a few hours at an event, helping with admin in the office once a month or even volunteering regularly with our projects. We want you to get as much out of volunteering, as you put in, so get in touch today if you’re interested in volunteering.
Gift Aid
Did you know AAM can claim 25% on top of your donation if you Gift Aid it? Don’t worry, it’s at no extra cost to you as this money comes from the Government. All you need to be is a tax-payer for it to apply. You can add Gift Aid to one-off or monthly donations made on our website.
